style

According to the band's Myspace page, the band has been influenced by death metal bands like Morbid Angel , Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation, as well as black metal bands like The Legion and Dark Funeral . Sympathy is often compared to Dimmu Borgir and Immolation . According to Benjamin Feiner of musikreviews.de in his review of Anagogic Tyranny , the band initially played Thrash Metal before moving on to Technical Death Metal . The album is quite brutal, even by technical death metal standards. The use of double bass is characteristic, while the electric guitars come up with “tricky split riffs ” and “twisted solos ”. The singing is aggressive and guttural . Songs like Potter's Field are very slow and are already heading towards Doom Metal . In the songs you can hear influences from Morbid Angel, Dimmu Borgir, Death and Spawn of Possession . The texts would mostly deal with philosophical or Christian topics. According to Reinhold "reini" Reither from stormbringer.at , the band on Anagogic Tyranny plays a technically demanding mixture of death and thrash metal. The songs are brutal and fast and also have black metal influences. The drums are very dominant in the songs, which means that the vocals take a back seat.
