The synagogue in Guebwiller , a French town in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region , was built from 1869 to 1872. The synagogue at Impasse de la Synagogue has been classified as a Monument historique since 1984 .

history

The synagogue was built according to plans by the architect August Hartmann .

During the German occupation in World War II , the synagogue was looted and demolished.

The building was renovated in the 1950s and re-inaugurated on May 26, 1957.
