The Aldenhoven synagogue was located in the Aldenhoven district in the municipality of the same name in the Düren district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Jews have been recorded in Aldenhoven as early as the 14th century . In 1812 there were 41 people of Jewish faith in the village.

As early as 1843 there was a prayer house in Aldenhoven . It is unconfirmed that such an institution existed centuries before. In a letter from the Aldenhoven Jews Veith Feiber and Jakob Landau from March 26, 1890, which deals with disputes regarding the synagogue and the special community of Langweiler , it says: “'We have our synagogue here in a private house and maintain it from ours Means, and as I said, this has been the case for almost 200 years' ... ". The private house was at Markfestestrasse 31. After the sale of the house and thus also the prayer room, it was refurbished in the house at Alte Turmstrasse 43. There was a rainwater mikveh in the basement and a leaf hut in the garden .

The house was so badly damaged in World War II that it had to be demolished. At the same place a new building was erected, on which there is a memorial plaque today.
