Szent-Györgyi Prize
The Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research has been awarded by the US National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) since 2006 . It recognizes outstanding contributions to the prevention , diagnosis and therapy of cancers with a high potential to save human lives. The Szent Györgyi Prize commemorates Albert Szent-Györgyi , winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1937 and co-founder of the NFCR. The award is endowed with 25,000 US dollars (as of 2018).
