On the northern slope of the Tütbergs leads on the Brüderstraße between Untereschbach and Frankenforst of St. James over. The springs from the north-western slope of the Tütberg later unite to form the Flehbach , the nameless springs on the south-eastern side flow to the Sülz .

The village of Tütberg

About 500 m west of the highest point of the Tütberg is the Villa Tütberg , a remnant of an earlier settlement area called Tütberg . This settlement name originally referred to a medieval court establishment which, according to the tax, lease and tribute lists of 1487, belonged to the Bensberg tax payers . In the original cadastre from 1827, the settlement “Am Tütberg” is counted as part of the “Eschbach” municipality (this refers to the Untereschbach district, which until 1974 belonged to the city of Bensberg ). The area has belonged to the Bockenberg district of Bergisch Gladbach since 1975 . In 1975 Tütberg had two residential buildings with 11 residents. The defining word Tüt (= paper bag since the 16th century) refers to the mountain, which is similar in shape to a triangular paper bag.
