T-Rock (born March 26, 1981 ; real name Anthony Washington ) is an American rapper from Atlanta , Georgia . He is also known by the pseudonyms Mr. Washington, Young David and Prince of the Park. T-Rock is a representative of the music genre Memphis Rap, in which stylistic devices of the gangsta rap are used.
biography
Washington grew up in College Park, Georgia. He started rapping as a teenager and was able to record his first CD, Throw Yo Neighborhood Up , in 1996 . The album was produced by underground producer Brandon McKinney. MC Mack discovered the tape and introduced T-Rock to the Three 6 Mafia members DJ Paul and Juicy J. They then signed the then seventeen-year-old rapper on their Hypnotize Minds label .
T-Rock only stayed with Hypnotize Minds until 2001 . Due to various postponements of his debut album on the major label, there was a dispute between T-Rock and DJ Paul and Juicy J. The album Rock Solid / 4:20 was finally released in 2003 by Juicy J and DJ Paul on the label Club Memphis Music . A year earlier, T-Rock had already released the long player Conspiracy Theory on the Secret Service Inc. label. The contained single Mr. Big Man is a disstrack against DJ Paul. A video shot for the song was not released. T-Rock sold 20,000 copies of Conspiracy Theory .
T-Rock founded the Rock Solid Music label in 2003 . Hip-hop musicians such as Reek, C-Mob and BOSS Minista are under contract here. T-Rock has also worked with the Three 6 Mafia, Pastor Troy , Lil Scrappy , Too $ hort , Young Buck and Blokkmonsta , among others .
