T-Wayne (born October 27, 1990 in Abilene , Texas ; real name: Tyshon Dwayne Nobles ) is an American rapper .

biography

Nobles began his musical career after seeing the film 8 Mile and was particularly impressed by the rap battles it depicted . At the age of 15, he moved from his hometown of Abilene to Dallas , where he distributed demo recordings and mixtapes and performed so-called "showcase" appearances, in which musicians without a record deal briefly audition for people in charge of the music industry .

He then moved to Houston at the age of 19 , as one of his songs became locally known there. In 2013 he finally got in touch with the Brick Squad label , which among others had the rapper Waka Flocka Flame under contract. However, a contract for T-Wayne failed, so he started uploading his music on social media . Among them was the song Nasty Freestyle , a freestyle over the beat of Nasty from Bandit Gang Marco .

After he recorded a shaky video for it, it went viral as numerous other people put the first line of his rap ("First, let me hop out the motherfucking Porsche") under their own short films that they shared on Instagram or Vine . The attention led Nasty Freestyle to reach position 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and be awarded a platinum record by the RIAA for more than a million downloads , which earned T-Wayne a contract with 300 Entertainment .

A few more singles and two mixtapes were subsequently released . However , he could not repeat the success of Nasty Freestyle .
