Waka Flocka Flame (born May 31, 1986 in New York City ; real name Juaquin James Malphurs ) is an American rapper .
biography
When he was nine, Malphurs moved from New York to Georgia . There he established himself in the rapper scene around Gucci Mane and became a member of his label 1017 Brick Squad . From 2009 he released his own mixtapes and had his first hit with O Let's Do It , which made it into the US charts in February 2010 . In October of the same year his debut album Flockaveli was released , which immediately landed in the top 10. Just like the single No Hands , it came in at number 2 on the corresponding R&B charts.
In 2014 he recorded the song Toast in collaboration with the American house DJ Borgeous , known for Tsunami with Dvbbs . The chorus consists of a rap part by American rapper Wiz Khalifa , who was originally the chorus of the song More Champagne by Khalifa and DJ Whoo Kid . The official music video for Toast also consists, on the one hand, of a newly recorded part and live performances by Waka Flocka that have been edited together, as well as the music video for More Champagne . The track was released as a free track.
