TV AVISEN is the name of the news program of the Danish television DR1 .

history

TV Avisen first aired on October 15, 1965 at 8:00 p.m. At this point in time there had been regular TV broadcasts in Denmark for 14 years, but no TV news until then. This was due to an agreement signed between the DR and the press in 1926 which ensured that the Danish press was in control of the broadcasting of news on the radio. Even after the introduction of television, this agreement remained in effect and did not end until July 1, 1964. In the following year, TV notifications were issued for the first time. In the beginning, the film recordings mostly came from foreign news agencies and were accompanied by light music in the style of older newsreels .

In 1978 TV Avisen was broadcast in color for the first time with Steen Bostrup as the presenter. In 1983 new studios were moved into the broadcasting center (TV-Byen) in Gladsaxe , which was built in the 1960s , after the studios in the Radiohuset in Frederiksberg had been used until then .

In 1993 DR's monopoly on broadcasting news programs was ended, so that the private television broadcaster TV2 , founded in 1988, could also record news programs. The competition had to be countered, among other things, by changing the broadcasting time.

The early morning program broadcast in 2001-2006 was discontinued due to a lack of demand. In 2006, the DR radio and television studios were combined in the new buildings in DR Byen on Amager , TV Avisen were given a new design and broadcast in 16: 9 .

  • Daily at 6:30 p.m. with a length of 30 minutes.

  • In addition, a news program in sign language ( Nyheder på tegnsprog ) will be produced for 10 minutes in the TV Avisen studios Mon – Fri at 2:50 pm , which will be presented to the speaker by a sign language interpreter . It is planned to discontinue this program, which has been broadcast since 1993, on November 1, 2009.

Features of the shipment

The program always begins with a synopsis in the form of a short recording of the most important contributions. The focus of the first broadcasts will be placed on domestic news. TV Avisen has its own permanent correspondents in Washington, DC , New York City , Rome , Brussels , as well as in China and the Middle East, and a special correspondent on the subject of "Climate".

As is customary on Danish television, contributions in foreign languages (e.g. interviews with foreign politicians or foreign press conferences) are not reproduced by a Danish speaker, but are subtitled .

At the end of the main edition, the weather forecast is moderated by a meteorologist. Then a seamless transition is created to the business, consumer and international magazines, which are broadcast Monday through Thursday immediately afterwards.

Video stream

All TV Avisen programs from the last 30 days are available as podcasts for everyone on the Internet. The live stream from TV Avisen can only be called up if it is accessed via IP numbers from Denmark. Otherwise an error message appears.

In 2008, at the end of the year, a special episode was created in which all the glitches and mistakes of the past year were cut into a cheerful collage. This program ( Årets bøffer fra TV Avisen ) is also generally available on the Internet.
