The Angolan Football Cup Taça de Angola is a football cup competition for club teams in Angola . It has been organized annually by the Angolan Football Association, the Federação Angolana de Futebol (FAF), since 1982 and is the second most important title in national club football after the first Angolan league, the Girabola .
The winner of the Angolan Football Cup will be determined according to the knockout system . The current title holder (2017) is record winner Petro de Luanda , who has already won the trophy eleven times.
In the annual Supertaça de Angola, cup winners and national champions determine the winner of the Angolan Supercup .
history
In Angola were already Portuguese colonial regional trophies in addition to the various regional and national championships since 1941 pitted. After Angola's independence from Portugal in 1975, the Angolan football association FAF was founded in 1979. From then on he organized the Angolan first division, the Girabola .
