Table Hill Gardens , locally known as Table Hill Gordon , is a small place in Saint Paul's Parish on the Caribbean island of Antigua , in the state of Antigua and Barbuda .

Location and landscape

Table Hill Gardens is a locality of Liberta , not far from the Antiguan south coast, between All Saints and English Harbor . It is located northeast of Monks Hill , which shields the area from the sea. It is one of the most fertile regions of the island and is characterized by the eponymous table hills and agriculture.

The place has a good 50 households and 200 inhabitants.

history

In the early 18th century, the Gale estate was here , a family who lived in America and on several West Indies, on Antigua since 1695. Nathaniel Gale († around 1745) owned 120 hectares, which he inherited in 1746 when he married James Gordon over. After slavery ended in 1835, the plantation went bankrupt. Today the place is also called the New Village and is part of Liberta. - Liberta was the starting point for the liberation.
