Tadeusz Cymański (born June 6, 1955 in Nowy Staw ) is a Polish politician , local politician and member of the Sejm in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th electoral terms . From 2009 to 2014 he was a MEP .

Life

In 1978 Cymański graduated from the University of Gdańsk with a degree in transport economics . From 1972 to 1978 he belonged first to the Związek Młodzieży Socjalistycznej (Socialist Youth Association) and then to the Socjalistyczny Związek Studentów Polskich (Socialist Student Union of Poland).

From 1978 to 1990 he worked as an auditor in the branch of the bank for the food industry in Malbork . In 1980 he became involved in the opposition union Solidarność and headed the Solidarność works committee in the Malbork Bank for the Food Industry. From 1989 to 1990 he was a member of the "Solidarność" citizens 'committee and was chairman of the citizens' committee in Malbork. From 1990 to 1998 he was mayor of Malbork, after which he sat on the city council for three years.

From 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the Catholic right-wing conservative Porozumienie Centrum (Center Agreement - PC). From 1998 to 2001 he was a member of the Stronnictwo Konserwatywno-Ludowe (Conservative People's Party - SKL). From 2001 to 2002 he was active in the Przymierze Prawicy (Alliance of the Right - RP). Since 2002 he has been a member of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS).

Since 1997 he has been a member of the Sejm, first for the list of Akcja Wyborcza Solidarność (Solidarność Electoral Alliance - AWS). Since 2001 he has been a member of the Sejm for PiS and the constituency of Danzig. In the 2005 parliamentary elections , he was elected with 23,518 votes. During this fifth electoral term he was deputy chairman of the Sejm commission for social policy. From November 9, 2005 to August 22, 2006, he sat in the Sejm Commission for Health, which he left in favor of the Sejm Commission for Local Self-Government, only to return to the Commission for Health on October 18, 2006.

In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he was elected to the Sejm for the fourth time with 14,064 votes. He was a member of the Sejm Commissions for Social Policy and Health.

In the European elections in 2009 , he was the European Parliament voted. This ended his membership in the Sejm on June 10, 2009. After the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2011 , he started thinking about intra-party democracy in his party PiS. On November 4, 2011 he was expelled from the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość party, along with Zbigniew Ziobro and Jacek Kurski .

In the 2015 parliamentary election , Cymański was re-elected to the Sejm.
