Tajna Tanovic (born in Sarajevo in the 20th century ) is a German actress and singer-songwriter .

Life

Tajna Tanovic came with their parents Senad Tanovic and Kaca Celan to Germany , where her mother at Schloss Burgau the theater TAS operation. In 2003 she graduated from the Wirteltor-Gymnasium in Düren . She received acting classes in Sarajevo and New York City .

Tanovic played Liza Minnelli in "Children's Cabaret" for National Television in Sarajevo . From 1993 to 2004 she was the leading actress of Theater TAS in Germany and played in its Project 3 , with guest appearances in theaters such as the Münchner Kammerspiele , Hamburg's Thalia Theater and Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana . In 1994 she was nominated by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for the sponsorship award as the best young artist for her role as the girl in Project 3 .

One of the appearances with the TAS theater was her performance at the UNESCO Benefit Gala for Children in Need in Düsseldorf in 1993 and an appearance in the German Bundestag on Human Rights Day in 1998.

She played in 2007, the main role in the project Canal Street Station of 31 Down Radio Theater New York. In 2009 she appeared in the experimental dance film Waterfront Access? by Floanne Ankah and collaborated with Theater TAS and Kaca Celan in April of that year , creating the window performance and visual art installation Yard Sale: New Footfalls… , presented by the art organization chashama . Tanovic translated the piece New Footfalls into English . In 2010 Yard Sale: New Footfalls… was presented by the DUMBO Arts Festival . That same year, she played the lead role in theater TAS production The Last Story (The final story) of Kaca Celan.

Tanovic played two concerts (2001, 2003) at Heinrich Böll's summer festival in his house in Langenbroich . She was the singer in the band Love in Shakespeare , which set Shakespeare's sonnets to music. She wrote the music for the short film Dolly Belle (2009), as well as the melody in the performance Yard Sale: New Footfalls ...

On September 30, 2011 she released her debut EP I Think of You with five songs. The record was recorded in Bunker Studio in Brooklyn , written and produced by Tajna Tanovic, produced and mixed by John Davis, mastered by Randy Merrill, and Jack Sharkey was the production manager. Contributing musicians are alongside her John Davis, Aaron Nevezie and Dave Burnett. In September 2012 the music video for the title song I Think of You was released . She wrote the script and was directed by Samuel Nozik. The two worked together on the short film Dolly Belle . Scenes from the film can be seen in the Burning House music video .

She currently lives and works in Los Angeles .
