Takayuki Kobori ( Japanese 小 堀 恭 之 , Kobori Takayuki ; born April 20, 1969 in Tomakomai , Hokkaidō ) is a former Japanese ice hockey player and coach .
Career
Takayuki Kobori began his career as a hockey player with the Seibu Bears Tokyo , for which he was active in the Japan Ice Hockey League from 1992 to 1993 . During this period he won the Japanese championship three times with the team (1996, 1997 and 2000). When the club merged with another team in 2003, the defender played for another three years for its successor, the Kokudo Ice Hockey Team . With Kokudo he was again Japanese champion in 2004 and won the championship title of the Asia League Ice Hockey with the team in 2005 and 2006 . In his last two years as a professional, in addition to his work as a player, he was also assistant coach for Kokudo.
International
For Japan , Kobori took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano . He was also in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 1992 , 1993 and 2005 and at the A World Championships in 1999 , 2000 , 2002 and 2004 .
