The Talg River is one of the larger rivers in the Vestfold Mountains on the Ingrid Christensen coast of Princess Elisabeth Land in East Antarctica . It flows from Sørsdal Glacier over Talg Falls and through Talg Gorge to Krok Lake .

The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the Arabic word tallow , which translates as ice .
