Tamara Alexandrovna Sorokina
Tamara Alexandrowna Sorokina ( Russian Тамара Александровна Сорокина , born Казачкова , Kasachkowa, English transcription Kazachkova; born August 15, 1950 in Kazanovka , Chelyabinsk Oblast ) is a former Soviet middle-distance runner .
Over 1500 m she was eliminated at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and won bronze at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1974 in Gothenburg.
Over the same distance she won the World Cup in Athletics in Rome in 1981 and was sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1982 .
She was the Soviet indoor champion over 1500 m (1974, 1980, 1981) and once over 800 m (1981) and 1000 m (1973).
