Tamara Horacek (born November 5, 1995 in Požega , Croatia ) is a Croatian-French handball player . She took part in the Summer Olympics for France as part of the French national handball team and won the silver medal with her team. She also won the bronze medal at the European Handball Championship in 2016 .
Career
Club career
In the 2013/14 season Tamara Horacek made her debut as a 17-year-old in the first team of Metz Handball and was able to become French champion with Metz in the first season. The team also won the French Cup. After remaining without a title in the 2014/15 season, she and her team were again French champions in the 2015/16 season. In the following season she was able to successfully defend the championship title with Metz Handball and also won the French Cup with Metz.
For the 2017/18 season , Tamara Horacek moved from Metz Handball to Issy Paris Hand. In her first season she finished fifth with the club in the French championship. The club was called for season 2018/19 in Paris 92 around and this season they finished with their club to ninth place, so they could avoid relegation scarce. In summer 2020 she moved to the Hungarian club Siófok KC .
National team
In qualifying for the 2016 European Championship , Tamara Horacek made her debut in the French national handball team . By Olivier Beyer was the first time on June 1, 2016 in the game against Iceland used, which the French national team in Reykjavik won clearly with 30:16. Tamara Horacek contributed two goals to the result. She was nominated as a substitute player for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro by the Comité National Olympique et Sportif Français . Before the semi-finals she was nominated for the injured Chloé Bulleux and won the silver medal with the French handball team after the 19:22 defeat against Russia. In 2016, she was also nominated for the European Handball Championship, which was held in Sweden. There she and her team won the bronze medal after the 16:22 semi-final defeat against Norway with a 25:22 win against Denmark in the game for third place.
