Tamara Taylor (born September 27, 1970 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

Tamara Taylor debuted in 1987 in the NBC - TV movie LBJ: The Early Years on the former US President Lyndon B. Johnson . 1991 followed an appearance of an episode of the television series College Fever .

From 1996 to 1997 Taylor starred as Grace Wilcox in the television series Party of Five . In the comedy Senseless (1998) she played the role of Janice , the friend of the main character Darryl Witherspoon . In the biopic Rising Star (1999) produced for television , she appeared on the side of Halle Berry . In 2000 she played in the doctor series City of Angels recurring Dr. Ana Syphax . The next long-term engagement followed a role in the television series Hidden Hills , in which Taylor played Sarah Timmerman in all episodes. After a number of guest roles in television series such as CSI: Miami and Six Feet Under , she got one of the bigger roles in the comedy The Crazy Diary (2005). Also in 2005 she was seen as Nina in the short-lived series Sex, Love & Secrets , the series had eight episodes.

From 2006 to 2017, she played the role of Dr. in the crime series Bones. Camille Saroyan .

Private

Taylor's father, musician Vaughn Grouse, was of Afro-Canadian descent; her mother's ancestors, Deborah Reid, a real estate agent, were from Scotland ; after her parents' divorce, she grew up with her mother and stepfather Eddie Taylor, whose name she also adopted. From 2007 to 2012 she was married to lawyer Miles Cooley. Neve Campbell , who Taylor played with in Party of Five , is a second cousin.
