October Faction is an American science fiction - Horror - television series by Damian Kindler , on the eponymous comic by Steve Niles based and Damien Worm. The first season was released on Netflix on January 23, 2020 .
In March 2020, Netflix canceled the series after a season.
action
Fred and Deloris Allen hunt human-looking monsters such as vampires and warlocks for the Presidio organization , but keep this profession a secret from their non-biological children, the 17-year-old twins Viv and Geoff, in order to enable them to lead a normal life. After the alleged death of Fred's father, the Allens settle in his home in their hometown. While the twins have a difficult start in the new school, they discover new psychic abilities in themselves.
A female warlock named Alice Harlow, who are hunting down Fred and Deloris, kidnaps the twins and reveals that she is their birth mother. They were born while Presidio attacked the Warlock city and exterminated its residents, and Fred and Deloris took them away. The twins then turn away from their previous parents, but when the Presidio storms the city and quarantines the residents to get to Alice, they all have to work together.

Netflix first announced Damian Kindler's 10-part series on September 28, 2018. It is produced by High Park Entertainment together with IDW Entertainment, which sells it internationally. The cast of the leading roles was announced in October. Filming took place in Ontario , Canada , including the cities of Cambridge and Hamilton . Netflix released a trailer on January 9th.
The first season was released worldwide on January 23, 2020.
