The administrative community Tampere ( Finnish Tampereen Sub-regions of Finland ) is one of six administrative Communities ( Sub-regions of Finland ) the Finnish landscape Pirkanmaa . As of December 31, 2007, 341,131 people lived there.

The following ten cities and municipalities belong to the Tampere administrative community :

On January 1, 2005, the municipality of Sahalahti was incorporated into the municipality of Kangasala and moved from the administrative community of Southeast Pirkanmaa to the administrative community of Tampere. On January 1, 2007, Viljakkala was incorporated into the neighboring town of Ylöjärvi. At the beginning of 2010, the municipality of Hämeenkyrö moved from northwest Pirkanmaa and the city of Orivesi from Oberpirkanmaa to the Tampere administrative community. At the beginning of 2011 the Tampere administrative community expanded to include the area of ​​the dissolved southeastern Pirkanmaa administrative community, when the Kuhmalahti municipality was incorporated into Kangasala and the only remaining municipality Pälkäne also joined the Tampere administrative association.
