Tamron Hall (* 16th September 1970 in Luling (Texas) , Caldwell County ) is an American journalist and talk show - presenter . In particular, she held various positions at the American broadcaster National Broadcasting Company (NBC). She is currently moderating the “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall” format on the American pay-TV channel Investigation Discovery . Since September 2019 she has also hosted a talk show named after her on Disney's ABC Domestic Television .

Hall made 1992 her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting - Journalism at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Career

Hall began her career as a reporter for KBTX-TV and KTVT in Bryan, Texas , both of which are part of the CBS group. From 1997 to 2007 she worked in various functions for the Fox channel WFLD-TV in Chicago , Illinois . Between July 2007 and February 2017, she hosted various formats on national news channels MSNBC and NBC News .

She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists , one of the largest organizations of African American journalists in the United States .

Commitment to domestic violence

In 2004 Hall's sister Renate died as a result of domestic violence. The perpetrator has not yet been convicted. She then founded the “The Tamron Renate Fund”, with which she supports victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Private life

Hall is married to music manager Steven Greener and lives in Harlem . They have a son who was born in 2019.
