Tan Eng Yoon
Tan Eng Yoon (born January 8, 1928 in Singapore ; † January 30, 2010 ibid) was a Singaporean triple jumper , sprinter , hurdler and high jumper .
At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 he was eliminated in the triple jump and over 100 m in the first round.
In 1958 he was eighth in the triple jump at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff and reached the quarter-finals over 100 yards .
At the Southeast Asian Games in Bangkok in 1959 , he won over 400 m hurdles , in high and triple jump. In 1961 in Rangoon he defended his triple jump title.
In 1955 he set a national record in the triple jump with 15.12 m, which lasted 32 years.
From 1958 to 1970 he was the coach of the Singapore national athletics team . He died in a traffic accident.
