Tanja Raich (* 1977 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian singer and singing teacher .

Act

Upon completion of the Music High School in Innsbruck Raich moved to Vienna and studied at the University of Vienna musicology , theater studies , psychology and at the University of Music and Performing Arts singing . From 2008 to 2011 she studied at the Complete Vocal Institute (CVI) in Copenhagen .

It operates the VocAcademy based in Maastricht / Aachen ( Euregio ) and are in addition to their concerts with different formations throughout Europe workshops , clinics and master classes . Furthermore, since 2015 she has directed the pop choir project of the Aachen Music School, which today consists of over 200 singers, the Aachen chamber choir cantoAmore and is vocal coach at the Das-Da-Theater in Aachen.

Raich works in bands influenced by jazz , pop and funk and was a member of the professional a cappella groups Velvet Voices and Shiva Knows . With her Tanja Raich Quartet (today with Christoph Eisenburger (piano and arrangement), Werner Lauscher (double bass) and Luc Nelissen (vocal percussion)) she brings expressive, jazzy arrangements of various pop songs to the stage. Her experience in several genres - from classical to rock - and making music in a wide variety of formations such as a cappella, in duos, in bands and big bands make Tanja Raich a versatile artist both in the studio and live.
