Tarcisio Carboni

Tarcisio Carboni (full name Francesco Tarcisio Carboni ; born September 9, 1923 in Ortezzano , † November 20, 1995 in Recanati ) was an Italian clergyman and bishop of Macerata .

Life

He received on 29 June 1947, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Tarcisio Carboni was the first pastor of Porto Sant'Elpidio and then a missionary in Brazil for almost ten years .

On February 11, 1976 he was appointed Bishop of Macerata e Tolentino, Recanati and Treia. He was ordained bishop on March 20 of the same year by the coadjutor of the Archdiocese of Fermo , Archbishop Cleto Bellucci ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Fermo Norberto Perini and Marcello Morgante , Bishop of Ascoli Piceno .

Tarcisio Carboni died on November 20, 1995 in a car accident while on his way to the Italian Bishops' Conference . He was buried there after the funeral service held by Cardinal Ersilio Tonini in Macerata Cathedral.

Act

Tarcisio Carboni carried out the canonization process for the China missionary Matteo Ricci . Pope John Paul II supported him with a letter dated September 13, 1982.
