Tassilo Broesigke
Tassilo Broesigke (born June 8, 1919 in Meierhöfen near Karlsbad in Bohemia (today Dvory near Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic ); † September 9, 2003 in Hollabrunn ) was President of the Austrian Court of Auditors from 1980 to 1992.
Life
He comes from the von Broesigke family in Altmark . After attending grammar school in Hollabrunn from 1929 to 1937, Broesigke studied philosophy and law at the universities of Munich, Heidelberg and Vienna. From 1946 to 1947 he completed the court year , worked as a trainee lawyer and received his doctorate in 1947. From 1951 he had his own law firm.
In 1956 he became regional party chairman of the FPÖ Vienna and from 1959 to 1963 he was a member of the Vienna state parliament .
From 1963 to 1966 and from 1970 to 1980 he was a member of the Austrian National Council . As a representative of the smaller opposition party, he was elected in 1980 by the National Council in the control function of the Court of Auditors due to the political customs of the time .

- 1980: Large Silver Decoration with the Star for Services to the Republic of Austria
- 1981: Large Federal Cross of Merit with star and shoulder ribbon
- 1983: Large gold medal on ribbon for services to the Republic of Austria
- 1997: Honorary Citizen of the City of Vienna
- 1999: Golden doctoral degree from the University of Vienna
