Tata Communications Limited (formerly Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited ( VSNL )) is an Indian telecommunications company with sales of 2.9 billion US dollars (2016) and headquartered in Mumbai , India. Tata Communications has over 8,500 employees and has been part of the Tata Group since 2002 . Tata Communications Limited claims to have the world's largest submarine cable network with a total length of 500,000 km, and a land-based fiber optic network with a length of 210,000 km. 1,600 telephone and telecom companies use the Tata Communications network worldwide. Tata Communications works closely with Formula 1 .

Innovation hub

In September 2019, Tata Communications and the European Tour launched the Innovation Hub. This global competition offers start-ups the opportunity to turn concepts into reality.
