Tatjana Masunina ( Cyrillic Татьяна Мазунина , English transcription Tatyana Mazunina ; born December 21, 1980 ) is a Kazakh biathlete .

Tatjana Masunina competed in her first international races in November 2001 in two FIS cross-country skiing races. Her biathlon debut took place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2005 as part of the European Biathlon Cup . With a 20th place in the individual and a 15th place in the sprint, she immediately won her first points. This was followed shortly afterwards in Ruhpolding debut in Biathlon World Cup , where they 99th of a sprint was. The highlight of the season was the 2005 biathlon world championships in Hochfilzen . Masunina was 77th of the individual, 82nd of the sprint and with Jelena Dubok , Olga Selesnjowa and Anna Lebedewa 19th and thus last in the relay race. At the first biathlon mixed relay world championship held a little later in Khanty-Mansiysk , she reached 22nd and again last place with Lebedewa, Andrei Khramuschin and Alexander Tscherwjakow . In addition, she ran on a 70th sprint place that weekend and achieved her best World Cup result. Further regular appearances in World and European Cups followed until 2007. The season ended with the Winter Asian Games 2007 in Changchun , where the Kazakh finished 12th in the sprint and 13th in the pursuit.
