Tatiana Petrovna Alexeyeva

Tatjana Petrovna Alexejewa ( Russian Татьяна Петровна Алексеева , English transcription Tatyana Alekseyeva ; born  October 7, 1963 in Novosibirsk , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian sprinter whose specialty was the 400-meter run .

Starting for the Soviet Union , she won the Universiade in 1985 and was involved in the gold medal win in the 4-by-400-meter relay at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in 1991 as a preliminary athlete .

At the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart, she was fourth and won silver with the Russian team in the 4 x 400 meter relay. She also won silver in the individual competition at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Paris in 1994 .

In 1997 she won gold in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the World Indoor Championships in Paris and was eighth in the individual competition and fourth in the relay at the World Championships in Athens .

In 1993 and 1994 she became Russian champion indoors and in 1997 outdoors.
