Baptismal font in Frémécourt

The baptismal font in the parish church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Frémécourt , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was created in the 14th century. The Gothic baptismal font has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1907 .

Both the basin and the base on which it rests are designed in an elliptical shape. A metal lid closes the water basin. Around the baptismal font there are reliefs of three passes and a frieze of intertwined snakes feeding on fruits.
