Career
Devin Shore played in his youth for the Ajax / Pickering Raiders in his hometown Ajax, before he attended The Hill Academy in Vaughan from 2010 and played for the school's ice hockey team in the regional high school league. After a year with the Whitby Fury from the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), in which he came in 41 games to 58 scorer points , he was selected in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in 61st position by the Dallas Stars . Subsequently, the Canadian decided to enroll at the University of Maine and thus not to switch to the higher-class Ontario Hockey League , whose Barrie Colts had selected him in 2010 in the draft. With the beginning of the 2012/13 season, the attacker took part in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) game operations in Conference Hockey East with the Black Bears of the University of Maine . In the 2013/14 season he had a personal best of 14 goals and 29 assists in 35 games, so that he was elected to the First All-Star Team of Hockey East. After another year in Maine, in which Shore had led the Black Bears as team captain and was appointed to the Hockey East Second All-Star Team, the Dallas Stars provided him with an entry-level contract in March 2015 .
Immediately afterwards Shore switched to the organization of the Dallas Stars, who used him in their farm team , the Texas Stars , in the American Hockey League (AHL) until the end of the season . There he began the following season 2015/16, in which he was able to convince in the AHL and was therefore appointed to the NHL squad of stars for the first time in November, where he made his debut in the National Hockey League (NHL) a little later . After three NHL appearances, he returned to the AHL, where, however, in mid-December after a check by opponent Ryan Murphy, he seriously injured his shoulder, had to undergo an operation and was out until the end of the season; he finished the AHL season with 26 points in 23 games.
As part of the preparation for the 2016/17 season, Shore established himself in the NHL lineup of the Dallas Stars and was regularly used there from then on. In January 2019, he was transferred to the Anaheim Ducks , while Andrew Cogliano moved to Dallas in return . In Anaheim, Shore was active for a little more than a year until it was given to Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Sonny Milano at the trade deadline in February 2020 .
