Baptismal font Notre-Dame de la Nativité (Lassy)
The baptismal font in the Catholic Church of Notre-Dame de la Nativité in Lassy , a French parish in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was created in 1556. In 1912, the Renaissance- style baptismal font was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique .
The round stone baptismal font has the following inscriptions:
- "Bon IHS fontaine de vie de vous nostre amour ne dévie" (Kind Jesus, source of life, our love does not deviate from you)
- "Haurietis aquas de fontibus salvatoris" (You will draw water from the sources of the Redeemer)
- הַיְשׁוּעָה (ha jeschu'ah - the redeemer / salvation [last word of Isaiah, Christian interpreted to Jesus ])
- "Esa [ias] 12" (Isaiah 12)
- "Dece [mbre] 1556"
