Team Telefónica is a Spanish sailing regatta team that takes part in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011–2012 .

The team's yacht, the Telefónica , belongs to the VO70 class according to the regulations. She was designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian and built at King Marine shipyard in Valencia . On May 17, 2011, the crew started training with the new boat in Alicante .

Sponsors

The main and title sponsor of the team is the Spanish telecommunications group Telefónica . The team is also supported by the airline Iberia , the financial services provider Mapfre and the department store chain El Corte Inglés .
