Groupama Sailing Team
Groupama Sailing Team is a French sailing regatta team that took part in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011–2012 .

The team's yacht, the Groupama 4 , belongs to the VO70 class according to the regulations. It was designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian and built at Multiplast's shipyard in France. The fuselage is a sandwich construction with outer layers made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic , for the construction of which prepregs were used. On May 14, 2011, the ship was launched. On May 17, it sailed off the French coast for its maiden voyage.
Until the Groupama 4 was completed , the team trained on the Groupama 70 , the winning yacht of the previous Volvo Ocean Race. There it was used under the name Ericcson 4 .

The team is sponsored by the French insurance group Groupama . Other partners provide clothing and equipment.
