Technology Museum Diepholz-Heede
The Technikmuseum Diepholz-Heede is a privately run technology museum in the Heede district of the city of Diepholz in the Lower Saxony district of Diepholz and was founded in 2014.
The main focus of the museum includes around 2500 exhibits on the subject of ironing (Dieter Möller collection). This also includes foot irons, collar irons, ironing machines and pleating machines.
The historical radio and electrical equipment (Kaufmann family collection) shows numerous historical radios , but also transmission and measurement technology for high-frequency technology . The collection includes, for example, one of the first types of answering machine, an alibiphon or an early recorder with a sound tape, which became known as a Tefifon .
In building services, old sanitary facilities (including water boilers and bathtubs ) and heating systems, decorative stoves, pumps and bathtubs, tools from plumbing and coppersmithing are shown. Also electrotechnical installations, historical gas and water meters.
In addition to the normal exhibition, which is open on Sundays, there are numerous events relating to historical technology, lectures and the monthly repair meeting.
