The Technotrans SE (self letters: technotrans ) is a German technology and services company based in Sassenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia . The company specializes in the manufacture of components for liquid technology. The company's shares are traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and are listed in the CDAX .

history

Technotrans was founded in 1970 by Franz Böhnensieker in Harsewinkel , Westphalia . In 1977 the company manufactured the first dampening solution preparation devices and in the early 1980s it built up its own product line for dampening solution preparation. On January 1, 1990, the company was sold as part of a management buy-out to a consortium of five senior employees headed by the then managing director Heinz Harling and two equity investment companies. In the same year Technotrans Graphics Ltd. was founded. founded in Colchester, UK; Technotrans also became one of the leading suppliers of dampening solution preparation devices.

In 1993, the subsidiary Technotrans France sarl was founded in France and two years later Technotrans America Inc., based in Atlanta , Georgia , was founded. In 1997 the company was converted into a stock corporation and Technotrans China Printing Equipment (Beijing) Co. Ltd. was founded. In the following year Technotrans AG was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and in the same year took over BVS Graphische Technik GmbH, which operated as Technotrans Systems GmbH until it was merged with the parent company in 1999.

In the following years the company expanded and founded further subsidiaries in Sweden , Singapore and Japan, among others . In 2000 the American Ryco Graphic Manufacturing, Inc. was taken over and incorporated into Technotrans America Inc., as well as the Steve Barberi Company Inc. and its subsidiary Farwest Graphic Technologies LLC.

In 2007 further subsidiaries were founded in Dubai , Moscow and Shanghai . As a result of the economic crisis , Technotrans had to post a slump in sales and reduce the number of employees worldwide, and short-time work had to be introduced at the headquarters in Sassenberg . Production at the sites in Mount Prospect (USA) and Gersthofen near Augsburg was given up and relocated to Sassenberg.

In September 2009 Technotrans founded the subsidiary gds AG (meanwhile gds GmbH ), thereby making the global document solutions division independent .

At the beginning of January 2011 Technotrans took over the majority stake in Termotek AG. At the beginning of January 2013, the company acquired a majority stake in KLH Kältetechnik and its Asian sister companies. In mid-August 2016 Technotrans took over a majority stake in Gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik . In 2017, Technotrans Grundstücksverwaltungs GmbH was founded, competencies were pooled and strengthened at the Technotrans group (taicang) site and the operational business of KLH cooling International Pte. Ltd, Singapore, and GWK Heating and Cooling Technology (Shanghai). Reisner Cooling Solutions GmbH from Holzwickede has been part of the technotrans group of companies since the beginning of June 2018. With effect from June 28, 2018, Techotrans AG changed its legal form to Societas Europaea (SE).
