Henk van Lijnschooten
Henk (Hendrikus) Cornelis van Lijnschooten (born March 28, 1928 in The Hague ; † November 1, 2006 in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht ) was a Dutch composer who also works under the pseudonyms Michel (also: Michiel) van Delft and Ted Huggens Has published works.
Life
Van Lijnschooten took violin and clarinet lessons at the music school in his hometown . He made his first studies with Fritz Koeberg (1876–1961) in music theory , composition and conducting technique . He graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague as a wind band conductor . In 1957 he was appointed as the successor to Gijsbert Nieuwland as conductor of the wind orchestra of the Royal Netherlands Navy . With this orchestra he made trips overseas and through Europe. From 1965 to 1970 he was Lecturer for woodwind instruments at the Conservatory in Rotterdam . Afterwards he taught wind orchestra direction at the conservatory in Arnhem . In 1985 he was appointed a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau ( Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau ) by the Dutch Queen .
