Teddy Nordling (born April 22, 1974 ) is a former Finnish handball player who was part of the squad of the Finnish national team. In 2001 he was voted handball player of the year in Finland.
Nordling played in Finland for Hangö IK and BK-46, with which he won the championship three times. He also ran for the Portuguese club VFC Setúbal. From the 1997/98 season Nordling was under contract with the Swedish club Alingsås HK . In 2001 the back player signed a contract with the German Bundesliga club VfL Bad Schwartau . After only one season in which he took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup with VfL , he returned to Alingsås HK. Nordling ended his career there in 2008. For Alingsås HK he scored a total of 1,502 goals in 288 games. In his honor, his former number 6 will no longer be given by Alingsås HK.
Nordling played 102 international matches for Finland, in which he scored 360 goals. Besides him, only Björn Monnberg , Tommi Sillanpää and Mikael Källman appeared over 100 times for Finland.
After his career, Nordling moved to the Finnish city of Hanko , where he and his brother run a gym . At the HC HIK club, he worked as a youth coach. The D-youth he trained won the Finnish championship in 2012. From the 2015/16 season he coached the Finnish first division club BK-46 together with Peter Kihlstedt. After BK-46 became Finnish runner-up under his leadership in the 2016/17 season, his contract ended.
Nordling coached the Finnish U20 national team from October 2017 to June 2018. Since the 2018/19 season he has been training the men's team of the Finnish club Sjundeå IF together with Marcus Sjöstedt .
