The Finnish men's national handball team represents Finland at international handball tournaments .
The record national player is Björn Monnberg (* 1971) with 135 appearances.
Participation in championships (indoor handball)
Finland has only taken part in a World Cup once, namely in 1958 . At the World Cup tournament in the GDR, the Finnish team played in the preliminary round in Erfurt and was able to achieve a 14:14 against Poland in the first game. In the two other group games, however, there were defeats against Spain (16:19) and Sweden (16:27). Finland finished last in the group, while the Swedes later secured the title.
At the EHF Challenge Trophy , the team won the title in their only participation in 2009.
