The Faroese men's national handball team represents the Faroe Islands at international handball games and tournaments .
The first international match was played against Iceland on July 18, 1964 . Only in the 17th game succeeded the first victory by a 21: 3 over Great Britain on November 1, 1975. Furthermore, the selection of the Faroe Islands took part in six C-World Championships between 1976 and 1986 , with a total of seven victories. In the qualification for the European Championships in 2002, 2004 and 2010 as well as the qualification for the World Championships in 2005, 2009 and 2011, only one draw was achieved at 22:22 against Belgium on January 15, 2003.
At the EHF Challenge Trophy 2007, the team was able to defeat Malta, Ireland, Scotland and England within four days, and only lost to Luxembourg in the fifth round game. At the Challenge Trophy 2012, three victories over Georgia, England and Ireland made it into the final, which was lost to Moldova at 28:30.
