The Italian men's national handball team represents Italy in games and international competitions in men's handball .
She was able to qualify for the men's handball world championship in 1997 in Japan , where she finished 18th (out of 24). As the host of the 1998 European Handball Championship , she reached 11th place (out of 12). Since then, the selection has always failed in the qualification. She reached the play-off games only three times, but was clearly defeated by Norway, Yugoslavia and Iceland.
