The TeleTrader Software GmbH is a manufacturer of web and software applications and provider of financial data based in the first district of Vienna Inner City . TeleTrader counts a large part of the Austrian banking groups among its customers. Many finance portals are supplied with software and data from this software company. These include the Raiffeisen banks , Direktanlage.at , or the Volksbanken .

Between 1993 and 1995, before the company was founded, software was developed that ran on home computers and read current stock market data from teletext . In May 1995 Christian Josef Baha founded the "TeleTrader Entwicklungs- und Vertriebsges. mbH ". Christian Josef Baha took over the company in 1999. TeleTrader specialized in the archiving and visualization of real-time products and was able to implement the first projects for Reuters . In March 2001 the company went public on the Vienna Stock Exchange . The TeleTrader share was listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange and the Berlin Stock Exchange until June 27, 2012 , with turnover being minimal and inexplicable price jumps being observed twice (in October 2010 and April 2012). On July 5, 2012, TeleTrader Software AG was converted into TeleTrader Software GmbH. In December 2013 the main owner Christian Baha took over the management again.

Business model

The main task of the company is the visualization of financial and economic data. With the help of numerous graphic elements, daily, intraday and real-time data are represented by various products. TeleTrader is an international company, market leader in Austria and Hungary. The SEE and CEE regions in particular are among the company's core markets.

TeleTrader divides the business areas into the following segments:

  • TeleTrader Professional Workstation. The software is a software application and runs on Windows; it is supplied with stock market and news data by a market data server (MDS). The user must therefore have an Internet connection. The distribution of the software is used for analysis by both institutional and private day traders and securities dealers. This software is mainly distributed via e-commerce, through branch-related sales partners and through white labels . A trademarked version of the software is z. B. used by FXsolutions in the USA and sold under the name "FXAccucharts". As a rule, the software is acquired through a monthly license fee.
