The Telekom Post SV Bielefeld (officially: Telekom Post Sports Club Bielefeld 1930 eV ) is a sports club from Bielefeld . The men's volleyball team played in the 2nd Bundesliga North for two years .

history

The club was founded in 1930 as the Bielefeld Post Sports Club . After the sports business had temporarily ceased during the Second World War , the club was re-established on April 1, 1949. After the dissolution of the Deutsche Bundespost in 1994, the association took on its current name. In addition to volleyball, the club offers aqua fit , badminton , fitness , gymnastics , jogging / walking , bowling , him and her , tennis and yoga / pilates .

The first men's volleyball team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga North for the first time in 2002, but was promptly relegated as the bottom of the table in the 2002/03 season . The Bielefeld team managed to get promoted back to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2004. But the team also had to relegate again at the second attempt. As the penultimate of the 2004/05 season , the Bielefeld could only leave the second team of the VC Olympia Berlin behind. In the meantime slipped into the upper league, the Bielefeld were able to rise again in 2015 to the fourth-class Regionalliga West. A year later the direct relegation followed.
