Telemach Wiesinger

Telemach Wiesinger (* 1968 in Bielefeld ) is a German filmmaker and photographer , his work mainly consists of analog 16 mm film poems and photographs in black and white.

life and work

Telemach (Stephen) Wiesinger grew up as the son of the graphic artist / artist Michael Wiesinger (1942–2015) and the artist Barbara Müller-Wiesinger (* 1939) in Freiburg im Breisgau .

He completed a degree in "visual communication" at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and received his Master of Arts degree in 1995 with summa cum laude . Since 2002 he has had a studio for cinematography and photography in Riegel am Kaiserstuhl .

(Guest) lectureships and teaching activities have taken place since 2006 a. a. at the University of Wisconsin , the Academy for Communication in Freiburg, the ENSCI Les Ateliers in Paris , the Institute of Art & Design in Milwaukee , the University of Wales Aberystwyth , the Evangelical University of Freiburg , the L'Institut National des Beaux-Arts in Tétouan , the Akademie Schloss Rotenfels , the Escuela de Arte Granada, Freiburg University of Education , the ZHdK , the University of Art and Design in Basel , the University of the Aegean Lesvos and the University of Illinois at Chicago .
