action

The millionaire Ken Manchester and his newlywed wife Barbara are on their honeymoon on the island of Borneo . While searching for her safari guide for big game hunting, Barbara is endangered by a wild elephant ; however, she is saved at the last minute by Tennessee Buck Malone, who shoots the elephant. The safari guide dies in the incident. Buck is arrested and charged for killing the elephant. The local judge sentenced him to a heavy fine that Buck could not muster. The judge then shows interest in Buck's talisman , which he wears on a chain around his neck. However, Buck refuses to hand it over.

Ken Manchester offers to pay the fine if Buck accompanies her on safari for it. He hesitantly accepts the offer. Together with his confidante Sinanga, Buck prepares the safari in the tribal area of friendly locals. Arriving in the wilderness with the Manchester couple, it turns out that a rival tribe has taken over the area. This takes the safari company prisoner. The chief and his mother recognize Buck, he had saved the tribe from great danger many years ago. The chief's greed for Buck's talisman and the good-looking Barbara outweighs gratitude. He has her brought to his hut to prepare her for marriage according to tribal rites. In order to get her husband out of the way, he offers him freedom. Buck realizes the trick and asks to release Sinanga as well. He tells Ken to definitely follow Sinanga. Ken does not realize the seriousness of the situation, separates from Sinanga and is killed by the tribal warriors. With the head of her killed husband in hand, the chief comes to Barbara and offends her.

Buck is freed by the chief's mother, who is still deeply grateful for his past actions. He frees Barbara and they make it back to the plane where Sinanga is already waiting for them. Together they manage to escape from the wilderness.

criticism

“Adventure film on the trail of the Indiana Jones series, which seeks its happiness in sex and violence scenes. Good photography and the appealing play of the main actor cannot compensate for the negative overall impression. "
