Terebutinez ( Russian Теребутинец ; alternative spelling Terebutenez , Russian Теребутенец ) is a village in Novgorod Oblast in Russia with 52 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

Terebutinez lies in the northeast of the Valdai Heights . In the vicinity of the village there are many lakes within 5 to 10 km, such as Mikhailinskoye, Siwerik and Dolgoje; the river Sjas rises a few kilometers to the northwest . The place is about 215 km as the crow flies east-southeast of Saint Petersburg , 430 km northwest of Moscow and 150 km east-northeast of the Veliky Novgorod oblast center .

Terebutinez is the fifth largest of 107 villages (including 31 without permanent residents) in the rural municipality of Neboltschskoje selskoje posselenije (as of October 14, 2010). The administrative seat of the municipality, the urban-type Neboltschi settlement , is a good 20 km northwest.

climate

The mean temperature in June is +18 ° C and in January −12 ° C.

history

The place was founded in the 1930s in connection with the construction of the last section of the railway line (Leningrad -) Mga  - Pestowo  - Moscow. It went into operation in 1932, after which a forestry business was established in Terebutinez. At the end of the 1980s, the place still had over 300 inhabitants.

Economy and Infrastructure

Today there are no more factories in Terebutinez; the population consists mostly of pensioners.

The place is - like the community center Neboltschi - on the non-electrified, single-track railway line St. Petersburg - Pestowo - Moscow of the October Railway (route km 176 from Mga). The only connection to the road network is via an unpaved road in a north-easterly direction, via which Neboltschi and the Ljubytino Rajon center, which is almost 30 km south as the crow flies, can only be reached by long detours.
