The territorial prelate São José do Alto Tocantins ( lat. : Territorialis Praelatura Sancti Iosephi de Alto Tocantins ) was in Brazil located Roman Catholic territorial prelate based in Niquelandia .

history

The territorial prelature of São José do Alto Tocantins was on July 25, 1924 by Pope Pius XI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Ad munus pastorale from cessions of territory by the Diocese of Goiás and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mariana as a suffragan . On November 18, 1932, the territorial prelature of São José do Alto Tocantins was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Goiás as a suffragan.

The territorial prelature of São José do Alto Tocantins was on March 26, 1956 by Pope Pius XII. with the Apostolic Constitution Cum territorium dissolved and the territory was annexed to the territorial prelatures Cristalândia and Formosa and the diocese of Uruaçu .
