Tetrahedron Prize

The Tetrahedron Prize (completely Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry or Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry ) is a prize in organic chemistry , bioorganic chemistry and medicinal chemistry that has been awarded annually since 1980 by Verlag Elsevier , publisher of the journal Tetrahedron . It is awarded for particularly significant and original achievements in memory of the co-founders of Tetrahedron magazine , Robert Robinson and Robert Burns Woodward .

It is endowed with $ 10,000 and associated with a gold medal. The winner publishes an article in the journals Tetrahedron or Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry as part of a symposium booklet in their honor of the respective journal.

There is also the Tetrahedron Young Investigator Award.
