The Atlantic Times (AT) is a German monthly newspaper from the publishing house Times Media , which has been published in English since 2004 and is aimed at readers in the USA and Canada. The main focus is on politics, economics and culture. The newspaper is editorially produced in Berlin and near Washington, DC in Springfield (Virginia) . Printed by Gannett Offset in US broadsheet format . The Atlantic Times is entirely ad-funded and politically independent. The first edition of the Atlantic Times appeared on October 3, 2004, the anniversary of German reunification, and was presented at the German embassy in Washington DC.

Theo Sommer , editor of the Hamburg weekly newspaper Die Zeit, is the editor of the Atlantic Times . Peter Köpf and the writer and author Rafael Seligmann are the chief editors . Rainer Bieling is responsible for the special supplements.

The publisher, editor and editorial team have all started with the aim of building a bridge from Germany to the USA. Since January 2007 the English-language sister newspaper The German Times has been published by the same publisher as a counterpart for Europe .
