The Bigger Picture is a British animated cartoon . The short film was directed by Daisy Jacobs . The film won the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 68th British Academy Film Awards in 2015 . The film was also nominated for Best Short Film at the 2015 Academy Awards.

Two brothers would love to put their mother in a nursing home because she is getting old and frail. However, neither of the two siblings wants to tell the mother about this decision. In addition, her mother does not even think about leaving her familiar surroundings. While the old lady stubbornly clings to her own life, the existence of the two brothers slowly but continuously dissolves.
