The Cocoanuts is an American comedy starring the Marx Brothers from the year 1929 . It was the first feature film as well as the first sound film by the comedians.


Mr. Hammer tries by all means to renovate a run-down hotel in Florida and at the same time win the love of the rich Mrs. Potter. Harpo and Chico sabotage his plans.


The film contains numerous classic scenes by the Marx Brothers, including the dialogue between Mr. Hammer and Chico about the viaduct.
